At what age can a player register?

Players are eligible to register starting at age 7.

 

How are teams organized?

Teams are all organized by age and/or skill level there are multiple teams starting from 7u through 14u. Each team can have up to 12 players. Players are on either the Eagles, Tigers, or Wolves teams.

How long is a season?

Seasons can be 4 or 5 months long. We normally take a one month break between seasons, and baseball camps are still available during the off season for additional coaching and practice.

 

Where are games played?

Our competition is essentially Central Florida talent, but have traveled to tournaments as far as Sanford, Daytona, New Smyrna Beach, and even Sarasota for the right competition.

 

Can my athlete play other sports at the same time?

Absolutely! Players are free to play other sports and enjoy their hobbies outside of WGPA.

 

Do tryouts guarantee placement for players?

Tryouts do not guarantee any spots on a WGPA team, but we have options available to help players successfully get to the next level.

 

What equipment does WGPA provide and what do players provide?

We provide baseballs , while players will purchase their own uniform, helmet, bat, and glove.

What is the fee for WGPA?

The fee for our tryouts is $20. Baseball camp and teams fees vary depending how many tournaments the team plays, the type of tournament, and its required fees. Once the roster and events are set, we will advise players of fees and provide a schedule.
